Moved here in June and am leaving in September. Not an ideal place. Sacramento county is one of the worst. Move to Placer county, much better amenities. There are NO street lights, this is NOT the country. The streets are no better. Potholes, massive cracks. The people don't watch where they are driving, blow stop signs and the grammar school is really bad. The drivers there don't follow the speed limit. Normally, in residential areas, the speed limit is 20-25, there are NO signs for the limit. In the school area, again, NO signs and the speeding goes on. I feel sorry for these kids, they are just children. I have lived in Fair Oaks before and it was great, things have gone downhill in this state very badly.

Fast forward to 2019. Pge power shut offs. Smud is way better. I am trying to leave Auburn for Fair Oaks or Roseville. In Auburn I see people constantly stopping at green lights and driving up the suicide lane as if it is a real lane. They are all baby boomers who are usually the ones comaining about how bad this or that is. News for you. Every place has it pros and cons. It is more about what works for you then about there being something wrong with the place. Auburn is great. Hard to get a job here. And not the best fit for me personally. I think Fair Oaks will be a good fit.
